What are typical workplace challenges?
Typical workplace challenges are sustained overload combined with high responsibility, conflict with leadership or colleagues, role conflict between career and family, unclear expectations after restructuring, and the pressure of learning faster than the organisation changes. They are not a sign of weak character: they arise where demands, resources and personal values no longer match.
The decisive question is not whether the strain exists, but how long it has lasted and what it already costs. Sleep, concentration, patience at home and the joy of work are usually affected long before anyone talks about it.
Why work feels harder than it did five years ago
Three developments overlap. Responsibility has become more diffuse, so decisions are made in permanent uncertainty. Availability has become continuous, so recovery windows disappear. And artificial intelligence together with rapid social change rewrites job profiles faster than most organisations can retrain people. The result is a quiet, chronic alertness that feels like personal failure but is in fact a systemic effect.
We look at the whole picture instead of single symptoms: load, recovery, role, team dynamics and the private side of your life. That is the logic of the 180 degree model – understand the mechanism, stabilise the system, then change direction deliberately.
Support for high performers
People who carry a lot rarely ask for help early. They deliver, absorb conflict, protect their team, and notice the cost only when the body sets the limit. In these situations you do not need motivational advice; you need a precise analysis and a plan that survives a normal working week.
Sessions are scheduled around demanding calendars, early or late, in person or by video, so that support does not become another logistical problem.
Typical triggers
Permanent overload
More responsibility than resources, over months, with no realistic point at which the pressure eases.
Conflict with leadership
Contradictory expectations, missing backing, or a manager whose style undermines your work.
Career and family
Two systems that both demand full presence, with guilt on whichever side you are not on right now.
Restructuring
New reporting lines, unclear roles, and the need to prove yourself again in an organisation you already know.
Technological pressure
Artificial intelligence changes tasks and status faster than skills can be rebuilt, and expertise suddenly feels fragile.
Bullying and exclusion
Systematic devaluation, being cut out of information, or a team culture that works against you.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as a workplace challenge?
Anything that permanently exceeds your capacity to cope at work: sustained overload with high responsibility, conflict with leadership or the team, role conflict between career and family, restructuring, a new manager, or the pressure to keep up with rapid technological change.
Is this coaching or therapy?
Both are available, and the assessment decides. If the strain is situational and your health is stable, coaching is usually the faster route. If sleep, mood, anxiety or exhaustion are already affected, therapeutic treatment comes first and coaching follows.
Will my employer know about it?
No. Sessions are confidential and privately arranged unless you choose an employer-funded format and agree to it explicitly. Nothing is reported back without your written consent.
I do not want to leave my job. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most people come to become able to act again, not to resign. We work on load, boundaries, communication and role clarity first; a change of employer is one option among several, never the default.
How do I deal with the pressure created by AI and constant change?
We separate what you can control from what you cannot, translate vague fear into concrete skill and career decisions, and build routines that protect concentration and recovery. Uncertainty stays; the sense of helplessness does not have to.
How quickly can we start?
Usually within one to two weeks in Berlin-Mitte or Zurich Seefeld, and often sooner for video sessions. Send a short message with your topic and your availability.
Let us talk about your situation.
One conversation is often enough to turn a diffuse pressure into a clear next step.
